1. The short version
We use what is needed to sign you in, to keep you signed in, and to make the app open quickly. Beyond that we use one thing, Google Analytics, and only if you allow it. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
2. Analytics, only with your permission
If you choose Allow in the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets the _ga cookies to count visits and see how pages are used, and keeps them for up to two years. If you choose Decline, or do not answer, nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookie is set. Change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the foot of every page; withdrawing removes the cookies. Your answer is kept for six months in a cookie named cg_consent, and, when you are signed in, in your account so it follows you to other browsers.
3. Sign-in
Our authentication provider sets the cookies and tokens needed to keep your session. Removing them signs you out.
4. Checkout
During payment, our payment processor sets what it needs to complete the transaction securely and to prevent fraud.
5. Local storage in your browser
- Your playback and upload preferences, so the app behaves the way you left it.
- A cached copy of your library list and previews, so the app opens without re-downloading everything. It is cleared when you sign out.
6. Clearing it
Sign out to clear the cached library, or clear site data in your browser at any time. Clearing it costs you nothing but a slower first load.
7. Talking to us first
If anything in this document, or anything about how we have treated you, concerns you, write to contact@cine.gallery before taking a formal step. We reply within five business days and tell you what we can and cannot do.
Nothing here removes any right you have under Canadian law or the law where you live, including your right to complain to a regulator or, in Ontario, to bring a claim. We only ask for the chance to put it right first.
